DESCRIPTION
UniFIED Efforts, our community partner, has contracted with EHC to construct a new facility to house its after-school and summer programs in Baltimore’s Penn-North neighborhood. UniFIED Efforts’ mission is to provide children with sustainable, peaceable solutions. Since 2012 they have provided well-structured out-of-school-time programs and activities to school age children. Their programming focuses on anti-bullying and anti-violence efforts as well as a family and community-focused philosophy.
The 7200 square foot, one-story facility will be used for after-school, out-of-school-time, and summer programs for local children. Features of the building include a music room, open kitchen-cafe, laundry and locker room, library, computer lab, quiet space, and more. The additional space will enhance UniFIED Efforts’ outdoor enrichment activities and academic support for K-12 students. Construction is planned to commence in Summer 2026.
