Chrysalis House Expansion
DESCRIPTION
Episcopal Housing Corporation has partnered with Chrysalis House Inc., a nonprofit provider of treatment for Maryland mothers recovering from substance use and mental health disorders, in a joint campus expansion project. Designed by Studio 343 and constructed by Hamel Builders, this $6MM project will provide a new childcare center, clinical wing, additional residential rooms for clients, and new kitchen and dining areas. This project addresses the increasing need for opioid addiction treatment in the state of Maryland, as well as the need for supportive and transitional housing for those afflicted by substance abuse disorders.
EHC and Chrysalis House broke ground on the expansion project in September of 2021. Construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed by Fall 2022.
