Clay Pots Community Center

DESCRIPTION

EHC has partnered with the Clay Pots Community Center, a West Baltimore community center created by neighbors and focused on education, health and wellness.

Currently, Clay Pots staff must convert their limited community spaces for a myriad of different purposes throughout each day. Their programming ranges from GED prep classes to health and wellness seminars to alcohol and drug abuse support, and each service carries its own needs for supplies, seating arrangement, and privacy. Spaces must be reorganized quickly and the lack of purpose-built rooms have stunted the expansion of much needed community programs.

The joint community center project will expand and rehabilitate their existing facilities. Plans for the project include the complete build-out of the third floor and the second floor Baker Space. The project is currently fundraising.
